Precision Floor Tiling in Perth

A floor is the hardest surface in a house to fake. Every imperfection in the substrate shows up in the finished tile — as lippage between edges, as a tile that rocks underfoot, or as grout lines that visibly wander across a long run.

So we start underneath. Concrete slabs are ground back and screeds laser-levelled before a single tile is placed, which means the floor you walk on is genuinely flat rather than approximately flat. We work in large-format porcelain, ceramic and natural stone across living areas, hallways, kitchens, laundries and wet areas.

Why Large-Format Needs Precision

Large-format tiles are unforgiving. The bigger the tile, the more a substrate deviation of even two or three millimetres shows at the edges — and the harder it is to correct once the adhesive has gone off.

That’s why we use full-coverage adhesive beds rather than dot-and-dab, set out from a laser-established datum, and check as we go rather than at the end. It’s slower. It’s also the difference between a floor that looks like a single continuous surface and one that reads as a grid of individual tiles.

Whether you’re tiling a single room or an entire open-plan level, we’ll advise on format, slip rating and layout direction before anything is ordered — the decisions that are cheap to make early and expensive to change later. Call 0459 074 402 for a free measure.

FAQs

What’s the largest tile format you can install? We regularly install large-format porcelain including 600×1200 and larger. The limiting factor is usually substrate flatness rather than the tile itself, which is why we assess and prepare the floor before recommending a format.

Can you tile over existing tiles? Sometimes, but it’s rarely the right answer in a wet area. It raises floor height at doorways, adds load, and means you’re building on a bond you can’t inspect. We’ll assess and tell you honestly whether it’s viable in your case.

How long before I can walk on the new floor? Generally 24 hours for light foot traffic after grouting, longer for heavy loads or furniture. We’ll give you specific timings for the products used on your job.
